Luck in Custom Keyboards is a stat that affects how often you roll rarer keycaps and mutations. The game publishes two luck passes: x2 Keycap Luck at 299 Robux and x2 Mutation Luck at 299 Robux. The codes page shows 650LIKES grants 2x Luck for 10 minutes. No odds table exists. This page explains what you can observe, what you cannot assume, and when luck passes fit into upgrade priority.

How luck actually works

When you kick the keyboard, the result is a random keycap. Luck is a multiplier on the probability of higher rarity. Higher luck means rarer caps appear more often — but the game has not published a formula.

What you can observe:

• More high-rarity tags appear over time with luck active.
• Mutations may drop more frequently with x2 Mutation Luck.
• The effect is statistical, not guaranteed per kick.

What you cannot assume:

• A specific percentage increase per pass.
• That one luck session will land a specific cap.
• That x2 means exactly twice as many rares.

Keycap Luck versus Mutation Luck

x2 Keycap Luck (299 Robux) — Raises the odds of rolling rarer keycap tags. Use this when your board needs better placed caps and you already have Kick Power covered.

x2 Mutation Luck (299 Robux) — Raises the odds of the mutation twist appearing on a cap. Use this when you are specifically hunting mutants for trading.

Both passes exist separately. Buying both doubles the cost. Evaluate whether your current bottleneck is rarity (keycap luck) or the mutation twist (mutation luck).

Luck from codes

650LIKES — Grants 2x Luck for 10 minutes, plus other rewards. Redeem from codes. The short duration means it is useful for a concentrated kick session, not for overnight idle.

BOBA — Does not specifically list luck in community-verified rewards as of September 2026, but codes can stack. Read the reward screen after each redeem.

Luck boosts from codes are free. Do not let a 10-minute x2 Luck expire while you are in the safe zone debating a trade.

When to buy luck passes

Luck passes are late-game purchases. Only buy them when:

1. Kick Power is at a level where better caps will actually change your board.
2. Slots are filled or filling, so rare caps have somewhere to go.
3. You are actively farming for mutations or trading.

Do not buy luck on an empty starter board. A rare cap on an empty plot is a placeholder, not progress. Fund the loop first.

Luck and the upgrade order

From upgrade priority, luck passes sit at the bottom:

1. Kick Power / keyboard.
2. Slots.
3. Train speed.
4. Upgrade station.
5. Rebirth when ready.
6. Cosmetics and skin plots.
7. Luck passes — only after the loop is funded.

A 299 Robux luck pass is not mandatory. The free 10-minute x2 Luck from 650LIKES accomplishes the same statistical effect for the cost of typing a code.

What luck will not do

• Replace Kick Power as the core multiplier.
• Guarantee a specific rarity tier.
• Make auto-sell safe. Lock mutants and high-rarity caps even with luck active.
• Override the mutation twist logic. x2 Keycap Luck does not double mutations.
